This was my recovery attempt from the tattoo poster. Piercings are the next best thing and the variety of images was much greater. I did not have time to do man sketches at all because it was ver last minute. I did most of the editing in my head and directly on the computer which may have it's negative effects. Overall I am pretty happy with it. If I had been smart and given myself more time I'm sure I could make it better, but it's a large improvement at least to me from the horrid tattoo poster. I'm so optimistic haha. I believe it is effective though.

History of Tattoos

At first I was very enthused to work on this project because I love tattoos, but the ideas in my head were harder to transfer to the computer than I thought. I became extremely frustrated with this poster because I could not find images that were compatible with my ideas. I ended up abandoning it, like a terrible person. I hit a dead end.
Shmeat Logo, Container, and Print Ad
This project took a lot of time, effort, and frustration. It was a huge challenge to have to create three different projects in one, and there were a lot of thumbnails and sketches that came from it. I tried to meet the needs of the target audience by making the look of the label simple and clean with non-traditional food colors because after all, shmeat is not exactly normal. I liked the result of the label but I ran into issues with my ad. I wanted it to be more proffesional but I was semi satisfied with it in the end. It was not an easy project though. I prefer real meat.

Project 1: Presidential Poster

For this project, our goal was to create an attractive and informational poster focusing on a President of the United States. I chose to do a clean and simple style with warm colors and interesting lines. I didn't want any of the elements of the poster to be too bold and overpowering so I changed the opacity on the chain and some of the text, leaving his name and the bold lines of his portrait to be the focal points. Originally I was going to do a fully rendered drawing of his portrait, but it did not fit into the stlye I wanted, so I outlined the features and shadows of his face instead and added color so that the entire poster was more unified. I thought that the subtle dates and letters in the background would fill the space and bring everything together while not distracting the viewer from the main text. Overall I am quite happy with the results.
